Leadership Kentucky Honors Bill Goodman with 2014 Flame of Excellence Award

The Flame of Excellence award honors an outstanding Kentuckian, who bravely goes before and lights the way for others.

Leadership Kentucky, Inc., one of the oldest and most prestigious statewide leadership development programs in the United States held its 13th Annual Executive Forum & Luncheon in Louisville at the Hilton Seelbach Hotel. Deborah Moessner, LKY Class of 2002, and 2014 Board Chair, kicked off the event, sponsored by Norton Healthcare, Stoll Keenon Ogden, PLLC, and Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.

Julie Schmidt, former President of Leadership Kentucky and currently Senior Director of External Affairs at Kentucky Educational Television (KET), presented Leadership Kentucky’s 2014 Flame of Excellence Award to Bill Goodman, Host, Kentucky Educational Television and a graduate of the Leadership Kentucky Class of 2001.  Past recipients of the award include two governors, the founder of Humana, Inc., Maker’s Mark Distillery, Inc., and several leaders in business across the commonwealth, which Goodman said makes winning the award a “humbling experience.”
